Yunchou Lecture: A Brief Urban History of Florence – from the Middle Ages to the Present Day

In the 1st century BC, the ancient Romans began to establish cities in Florence. Over the long history, Florence has developed different residential systems and urban forms. This lecture mainly introduces the development process of urban construction in Florence, focusing on the evolution that has occurred from the 13th century to the present, and analyzes the reasons behind these changes, so as to understand the logic of urban development in Europe.
